CENTAM TRAVEL

Centam Travel is a Chicago based travel agency and tour operator specializing in what make Mexico, Central and South America unique. We seek the new, the unusual, the seldom seen, and try to take you along the path less traveled through countries we know intimately and have been traveling through extensively for over 30 years.

We offer a unique set of curated, pre-designed departures and group tours for those who want a special experience with other travelers like themselves. Our groups are all kept to a maximum of 10-15 guests, and can take you places no one else offers, like unknown mezcal producers in Oaxaca, or emerging travel destinations like the Pantanal in Brazil, Paraguay, Guyana and Suriname, or the Orinoco River Basin of Colombia.

For the traveler seeing a custom experience, we offer many services, from fee based itinerary design and consulting, hotel bookings, activities, tours, car rentals and ground transfers, or can create a custom vacation for any size party, from individuals to large families or groups.

Our sister sports themed travel company Latin Baseball Tours offers visits to baseball Winter leagues throughout Central America, South America, and the Caribbean during their professional baseball seasons, generally from mid October to mid January every winter.  Through our partnership with the various leagues and suppliers, we provide unprecedented insider access at games and stadiums, including tickets, player meet and greet, on field activities, and tours featuring local guides with a deep knowledge of local and current baseball history and play. We also arrange custom tours to Japan for their NPB Baseball League.

Our other specialty line, Spirited Mexico, offers regularly scheduled departures several times a year to Mexico for intensive food, drink, and cultural tours centered around local distilled spirits - Mezcal, Tequila, Raicilla, Sotol, and other local spirits you can find nowhere else.
